Chris is a corporate attorney advising clients on a range of business and financial transactions, corporate and securities law, and matters relating to commercial real estate.  His diversified legal experience has helped him to develop an adaptable mindset and a focus on providing practical, actionable advice to help clients navigate a variety of legal matters.

Chris began his career at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where he practiced in both the firm’s New York and Paris offices.  His work in New York focused on advising fund sponsors and limited partners in connection with private equity fund formation & structuring, fundraising, co-investments, acquisitions, and governance & compliance.  While in Paris, Chris represented international institutional clients in connection with numerous complex capital markets and financial transactions, including IPOs, securities issuances, liability management transactions, and cross-border public M&A matters, while advising on US securities laws and regulations.

Before joining Bailey Duquette, Chris spent several years practicing in his native state of Maine at Weinstein, Lovell & Ordway, P.A. and as a solo practitioner.  He supported clients executing a range of transactions relating to commercial real estate, including lending, leasing, financing, and investment structuring.  He also advised growing local businesses on financing and governance arrangements, as well as executing strategic transactions and general corporate matters.  In his practice, he continues to be interested in supporting the development of the Maine innovation sector and the growth of sustainable economic paradigms in local communities.
