Julia’s practice includes both commercial litigation and corporate transactions. She started her career at Fasken, Martineau, DuMoulin LLP, a leading Canadian law firm before moving to New York City where she joined an established litigation boutique. As such, Julia has gained significant experience representing clients in complex corporate transactions as well as commercial litigation matters.
Julia obtained civil and common law degrees from the Faculty of Law at McGill University. During law school, Julia clerked for the Honorable Jean-Francois Buffoni at the Quebec Superior Court. Prior to law school, Julia obtained an undergraduate and master’s degree in Art History; she is part of the firm’s art law practice.
Julia is active in many organizations in New York. She serves as the Vice-President of the Canadian American Bar Association. Julia sits on the New York City Bar’s Copyright and Literary Property Committee, the Advocacy and Public Policy Committee of the New York Junior League and the Young Professionals Board of the New York Friends of the Children Organization.
Julia also assists the firm with its business development initiatives, including firm marketing, internal and external communications and client outreach.
